As a Headhunter, I have recruited a large number of employees for many different organisations and the candidate who is well prepared with a good knowledge of their ability to contribute to the employers objectives and able to give real examples of this, is indeed a rare and most desirable find.
My experience in recruitment shows that less than twenty five percent of candidates will communicate in a convincing, sincere manner. Less than twenty percent will have an application that gives examples of relevant skills illustrated by their achievements and their capacity to solve problems. Less than fifteen percent of candidates will be able to talk about those skills at interview. (Most will fail in the first four minutes).
If you multiply that out, it means that less than one percent of job seekers can do all three. These are the candidates we value. These are the people who will be able to afford that dream holiday next year!
